Brunel Law Society offers debating which is a great opportunity to allow students to engage with a broad range of social, scientific and ethical issues.
The central idea of the Debating Competition is to involve students and encourage them to create, develop and defend their arguments. Our aim is to give students confidence in themselves and in their abilities.
Debating tests students’ ability to not only make a polished and persuasive but also to respond under pressure, think on their feet and produce the evidence to back up their arguments. The focus is on contemporary real-world issues and opening up the debate to the audience further contributes to this stimulating competition.
